The Pros and Cons of Using Truck Mud Tires
Truck mud tires, as the name suggest, are intently designed to be used on muddy terrains. This kind of tires are best suited for those who are driving light trucks, racing cars, sports utility vehicles and other off road automobiles. Their open and large lug tread pattern can efficiently clear out the mud to ensure added traction as the tires continuously traverse a muddy terrain.
Apart from muddy terrains, mud truck tires can also perform well in other types of road conditions such as in rugged or snowy roads. Moreover, these open-treaded tires can also work well even in loose gravel as well as in the soft and constantly changing trails of wooded terrains. The high off-road performance that they are capable of delivering is made possible by their soft rubber construction that is designed to have larger gaps in between its lugs.

Though using mud tires can be really convenient in off road terrains, they are proven to be less reliable in highway and street driving. That being said, you have to carefully evaluate if you badly need to upgrade your truck with a new set of mud tires.
