Flapper girls burst into the conscience of the American public during the early part of the 1920s. These young women were known for the non-conformist attitudes as much as for their trendy fashion sense. These bold women loved to drink alcoholic beverages, smoke cigarettes from long stemmed holders, and dance the night away in sleazy nightclubs known as speakeasies. A black, feathered boa and a long beaded necklace are an absolute necessity. Additionally, while certainly not required, many women, however, will elect to add a bold, hot pink or blond wig to their costume. Adding just a couple of these accessories will go a long way to making the dramatic statement you are looking for this Halloween.
