4 Ways to Do Away With Leg Cellulite

July 2nd, 2010

Cellulite can occur in almost any part of the body including the legs, butt, stomach, back, neck and arms. The legs is where cellulite appears on most women and it can very difficult to hide if you want to wear shorts, skirts and swimsuits during the summer, or during those intimate moments in the bedroom. Thankfully, there are ways that you can reduce the appearance of cellulite on the legs.

Here are the best ways to get rid of cellulite:

1.       Exercise. Leg cellulite is particularly easy to treat with exercise. This is because there are large muscles in this area that are close to the skin. To reduce cellulite you should aim to increase the lean mass of these muscles by doing squats with a squat rack. This will give your legs shape, stretch the skin and smooth out the dimples. At the same time, you should also do some cardio exercise to reduce your fat levels.

2.       Lotion. Anti cellulite creams are abundant throughout skin care stores, supermarkets and online retailers. They work by burning away fat and increasing the health of the skin. Creams range in quality and price so you will need to do a bit of research and read as many customer reviews as you can.

3.       Massage. Anti cellulite massage smooth out the dimples and promotes lymphatic draining – which is a fancy word for pushing out toxins from the fat cells. You can do massage at home with a special massaging device that you can purchase online or have it professionally done at a beauty clinic using a commercial machine. The effectiveness of the massage can be increased by using a cellulite lotion in between treatments.

4.       Body wrap. Using an anti cellulite wrap on the legs can be effective. You can do a simple wrap at home by mixing olive oil and coffee together, smearing it on your legs and wrapping them in plastic wrap. Keep it on for 15 minutes before removing. Another option is to have it done a beauty clinic by a trained professional and this will be more effective but also costly.
