August 21st, 2010

Most guys are looking to build their muscles. Not only is it great for the body it also makes us stronger and more attractive. The problem is a lot of guys do not really know what they are doing when it comes to working out and dieting. After a few weeks most will blame genetics and stay at their fitness and body plateau. Anyone with proper exercise and diet can add muscle and get a killer body. The trick is really just learning the right things to do.  Don’t just get on your weight bench until you have learned these lifts.

Diet is a very big part of increasing muscle size. If you are not eating enough calories and you have an over active metabolism than you should need to be eating a lot of food. Start eating six small meals a day that include a lot of protein and carbs. I would say diet makes up about 60% of changing your body. Do no limit the impact of your workouts by not eating enough. Consume about a gram of protein for every pound you weigh daily for maximum muscle building.

When it comes to exercise there are 5 lifts that are hands down the most effective muscle building lifts. If you have been struggling to build muscle it is likely you have not been doing all of these lifts. Form is very important always maintain proper form especially when lifting to build muscles since the weight loads will extremely high.

Here are 5 Muscle Building Lifts:

Squat-

Deadlift-

Bench Press-

Military Press-

These 5 lifts will help you build more muscle than any other five lifts. Make sure you are doing these lifts every week. Before 8-10 reps of each lift with a weight that leads to failure at each rep. When it comes to maximum muscle building you need to lift heavy to completely tear the muscle tissue. It is the rebuilding of the muscle tissue that will lead to muscle growth and improved definition.

Build bigger muscles by improving your diet and incorporating these five muscle building lifts. Take your lifting to new heights the a great olympic weight bench.
